The Governor concluded his tour of Jerusalem this afternoon and is on his way to the Galil.
This morning we had breakfast with US Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro.
The Governor thanked the Ambassador for coming in the very early morning from Tel Aviv.
The Ambassador discussed the security situation with Iran and reiterated the Administration’s firm stance on keeping Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
He also discussed the Israel-Palestinian prospects for peace.
He answered questions posed by the delegation and then we proceeded to travel to the Herodian palace.
While we trekked through the Bar Kochva caves, the Governor and staff visited the Christian Holy sites in the Old City.
We concluded our part of the trip with a brief tour and lunch at the Israel Museum.
The Governor and his staff were grateful that the delegation was able to join him on this trip and expressed his appreciation with our participation.
