Months before a ballot is cast, and days, maybe weeks, before official declarations of candidacy, the race is already on for financial backing in the 2008 GOP presidential race.

And, per the Forward, the John McCain camp has scored a few early victories in Jewish GOP circles.

Notably for us here, IPA Committee member and NORPAC president, Benjamin “Dr. Ben” Chouake, has signed on with Senator McCain. He joins mega donors Lew Eisenberg and Barbara Sobel, among others.

IPA Committee member and political operative extraordinaire, Jeff Ballabon, has signed onto Senator Sam Brownback’s exploratory efforts.
