New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s new 2013 budget proposal restores technology aid for nonpublic school students. If passed by the legislature, then the proposed budget would provide about $20 in technology aid per nonpublic school student—about half of what originally existed before the Corzine administration eliminated the program in 2009.
Josh Pruzansky, New Jersey Political Director for the Orthodox Union, said this:
“We thank all of the administration officials – with whom we spoke almost daily for the past few months – for assisting us with this issue.
We also thank Senator Joe Kyrillos for his willingness to advocate on behalf of his constituents, for personally involving himself in this matter, and for succeeding in his efforts.
We look forward to working with the administration and the legislature to make this proposal a reality and expand education opportunities for all students in New Jersey.”
