LIAT New York Fellows

Are you a Jewish college student interested in government, public service, or running for office one day in New York?

The Orthodox Union Advocacy Center (OUA) is proud to expand its nationally recognized LIAT Fellowship with a special focus on cultivating the next generation of Jewish political leaders in New York City and New York State.

What Fellows Will Do

The LIAT NY track gives fellows hands-on experience in New York government and politics.

Government Internships
Intern in New York City or New York State government offices, gaining real-world experience in the legislative and policy process.
Leadership & Policy Training
Receive structured leadership and policy training to build the skills needed for effective public service and advocacy.
Access to Elected Officials
Engage directly with high-level elected officials and policy experts who shape decisions in New York and beyond.
Stipends
Receive stipends to offset living expenses during their internship, making the experience accessible to all qualified students.

Who Should Apply?

Jewish college students based in New York or from New York who are:

Civic Engagement
Passionate about civic engagement and public policy.
Political Leadership
Interested in political leadership or public service careers.
Jewish Representation
Motivated to strengthen Jewish representation in government.

Applications Open March 1st

The application for the LIAT New York Fellows is the same as the general LIAT Fellowship. When you get to the bottom of the application, please check the box to be considered for the New York Fellowship and answer two additional questions.

The New York cohort is limited in space; however, even if you are not selected for the New York cohort, you will still be considered for the general LIAT fellowship.
