ORTHODOX JEWISH COMMUNITY MEETS CLEVELAND CONGRESSWOMAN MARCIA FUDGE
Orthodox Union facilitates key meeting in Ohio

U.S. Congresswoman Marcia Fudge (D-OH) recently met in Cleveland, Ohio with representatives of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (the “Orthodox Union”), the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization, and local OU synagogue rabbis and community members for a town hall meeting. The meeting took place at OU member synagogue, Green Road Synagogue.

Congresswoman Fudge took time from her busy schedule to hear from these community members their concerns regarding key issues, including the U.S.-Israel relationship under the new administration and fair and equal access to Title I and IDEA funding for Orthodox Jewish Day School students. Additionally, the Congresswoman identified her support for the Jerusalem Embassy Act, which calls for the United States to move its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. We at the Orthodox Union are pleased to receive her support regarding Jerusalem as it is a key element of the OU’s foreign policy efforts.
