ORTHODOX JEWISH COMMUNITY MEETS CONGRESSMAN-ELECT JOHN ADLER
Orthodox Union facilitates key meeting in South Jersey

Congressman-elect John Adler (D-NJ-3) recently met with representatives of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (the “Orthodox Union”), the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization, and local OU synagogue rabbis and community leaders.

Congressman-elect Adler heard from these leaders their concerns regarding key issues, including Jerusalem’s indivisibility, the Iranian nuclear threat, green and alternative energy, homeland security, the needs of the Orthodox middle-class including day-school families, and uniquely Orthodox issues relating to those with special needs.

Congressman-elect Adler fills the seat of retiring eight term Congressman Jim Saxton, who chose not to run for re-election after sixteen years of service to the Third District.
