ORTHODOX UNION DISMAYED BY FAILURE OF UTAH VOUCHER REFENDUM

Today the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization, expressed its disappointment at the failure of a ballot referendum in Utah on a universal school choice and voucher program. The UOJCA supported the original legislation enacted by the Utah Legislature and signed into law by Governor Huntsman.

Nathan J. Diament, the Union’s Director of Public Policy stated:

We will continue to work with elected officials in Washington and across the country to bring real reform, real options and real success to every school and every child.
