The March 6th terrorist attack on Yeshivat Merkaz HaRav in Jerusalem, in which eight young students were murdered in cold blood by a Palestinian terrorist, is a terrible reminder of the brutal terrorism Israel faces every day.

The gunman entered a place of Torah study and opened fire at students.

The reaction in the West Bank and Gaza, including celebrations and praise for the killer, is the result of ongoing and intensive incitement to violence against innocent Israeli civilians and a demonization of Israelis and Jews which is aided and abetted by official Palestinian action or indifference.

We mourn with the victims’ families and the global Jewish family this terrible and tragic event. May they, and we, be comforted with the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
