NSGP FUNDING AT RISK: Urge Congress to support the supplemental

The most recent federal spending bill included a 10% cut to the Nonprofit Security Grant Program. And now, there are leftist extremists opposing Congress restoring these funds and allocating more for federal security grants for shuls and schools. We need the House to pass a bill that includes $400 million in emergency funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program.

Subject:RE: Support $400 Million in Emergency Nonprofit Security Grant Program funding

Dear Recipient's Title and Name:

I am writing to you today to strongly urge you to support a national security supplemental bill that includes the Senate’s funding proposal of $400 Million in emergency Nonprofit Security Grant Program funding. The mainstream American Jewish community is united in calling for this funding.

Since its creation in 2005, DHS’s NSGP has provided grants critical to the security of nonprofit organizations—including many synagogues, churches, and other nonprofits—considered to be at risk and vulnerable to terrorist attacks.

Since Oct. 7, antisemitism has risen nearly 400% in this country – and our Jewish institutions are paying heavily to ensure they remain safe and secure for our communities.

The U.S. must protect its Jewish citizens during this time of alarming antisemitism. House passage of an additional $400 million in NSGP funding, is a crucial step at this historic time.

As your constituent, I hope I can count on your ‘yes’ vote.

Sincerely,
Your Full Name
