With the impending pair of speeches by President Obama – one tomorrow at the State Department about the changes sweeping the broader Mideast, and on Sunday at AIPAC; as well as Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit and pair of speeches – also at AIPAC and then Tuesday to Congress, the punditry is being produced fast and furious here in Washington.

Here’s today’s notable line up:

– Former peace processor Aaron D. Miller thinks the time is right for only “quiet diplomacy” toward Israel and the Palestinians by President Obama, not a bold public speech.

– Although that seems to be exactly what Tom Friedman wants as he lays all blame (again) on PM Netanyahu.

– A notion that Marty Peretz trains his withering gaze upon at The New Republic while GOP House leaders Eric Cantor and Peter Roskam write in Politico that the Hamas-Fatah unity agreement should yield more forceful American opposition.

– The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin hopes for a broad new direction for the region wide speech tomorrow.
