Jacob Roth


Director of Community Engagement
Jacob Roth is the Director of Community Engagement for the OU Advocacy Center.
Jacob comes to the OUA from the US Senate, where he worked as an Outreach Advisor for the Jewish, Labor, and Small Business Communities. He also worked closely with the Senate Foreign Relations teams on Middle-East, North Africa, Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa issues. Prior to that, Jacob worked for the Consulate General of Israel in New York in several positions including Director of Community Affairs, Director of Government Affairs, and Senior Political Advisor to the Consul General.
Jacob is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Judaic Studies. He remains proud of the work he did on campus fighting both BDS and antisemitism.
Prior to university he spent a year living in Israel, spending his first semester studying at Hebrew University and his second volunteering with Magen David Adom as a first responder. Upon his return to the U.S., his experiences on an ambulance in Israel led him to acquire a New York State Emergency Medical Technician certification and spend 7 years volunteering as an EMT with Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps.
