Dear Recipient's Title and Name:
This past budget season, one message was clear in Trenton - the safety of our children is less important than our neighbors' children. In the FY 2019 budget, the New Jersey Legislature allocated more than $200 per student for public school security funding, while allocating only $75 per child in nonpublic schools. That means that our children get around one third of the per pupil funding as compared to public school students. This is not acceptable to nonpublic school communities who feel at risk and who are compelled to invest significant resources that would otherwise go into the classroom.
I disagree that our children’s safety is less of a priority.
I demand additional security funding for all children in New Jersey, regardless of what type of school they attend.
Sincerely,
Your Full Name
