Urge Your Legislators to Support STEM Education Program in Our Schools

An innovative STEM education program would grant our schools access to experienced teachers, at no cost to the school. At the same time, it would give public school teachers an opportunity for additional compensation, doing what they do best: teaching important STEM subjects the next generation of Pennsylvanians.

Right now, the PA legislature is deciding which programs to fund. Let your elected officials know how important education and teacher opportunity is to our community.

Take Action!

Subject:RE: Please Support the PA STEM Teacher Program

Dear Recipient's Title and Name:

I am writing to you as a Pennsylvania resident and member of the nonpublic school community.

The PA STEM Teach Program, championed by Teach PA (a nonprofit), allows qualified PA public school teachers to teach STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Math, Engineering, and more) in nonpublic schools, at no cost to participating nonpublic schools.

This initiative, through which teachers will be paid by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, was created to help schools address rising costs of STEM education, the growing shortage of qualified STEM teachers in the state, and the need to expand STEM education offerings to all students, helping prepare them for the future.

Now more than ever, STEM is a critical part of a child's education and a program like this would make a significant impact on their lives.

I implore your caucus to commit to the education of ALL Pennsylvania's students by committing funding that will enable this program to get off the ground.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Your Full Name
