Thank you for your work on behalf of all Pennsylvania's students. I am writing to ask you to support the schools that mean so much to me and my family: Jewish nonpublic schools in Pennsylvania. 

As you near the completion of the 2021-2022 budget, please keep in mind the thousands of students who can thrive in their schools because of the EITC and OSTC programs and keep these programs strong by increasing funding this year. Each year, donors are denied opportunity to support local education and students with financial need are left out. As funding is increased for public schools, please recognize the contribution of our nonpublic schools to the educational landscape and raise up all schools.

Please consider with sensitivity the need to keep at-risk communities safe, in light of great proliferation of anti-Semitism and attacks throughout our country, including here in Pennsylvania. Please recognize the need for more schools to access the highly competitive PDE Safe Schools Grant Program by increasing the funding for nonpublic schools to $5 million. Please understand the urgent moment for our synagogues, centers and camps, as well as the needs of other populations at-risk of Hate Crimes and raise the PCCD Nonprofit Security Grant Fund to $10 million. These resources will demonstrate Pennsylvania's action to keep at-risk communities safe at an urgent moment.
