U.S. Senator (and GOP presidential candidate) Sam Brownback of Kansas has always – always – been a great friend to Israel (and the Orthodox community) and he consistently displays a keen ability to say a truth that needs saying. His latest manifestation of this is a letter the Senator sent to The White House late last week regarding events in Gaza and U.S. policy reactions.

An essential point, unremarked upon by others, is Brownback’s calling
into question the sense of $40 million being sent by the Administration
to the corrupt and inefficient UNRWA.
