Last night, the Iowa Caucus launched the beginning of the primary season for the 2012 Presidential Elections.  Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney received only 8 more votes than former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum, not enough to be considered a clear winner of the race.  Romney and Santorum will enter the next set of primaries – in New Hampshire and South Carolina – effectively tied, looking to distinguish themselves and rise to the top.

With the final tally of votes showing Romney winning 30,015 votes to Santorum’s 30,007 – or 24.6 percent to 24.5 percent – the most important, and unequivocal, message here is that every vote actually matters.  The difference between Romney and Santorum was a mere 8 votes – not even a minyan!
