Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas continued the campaign to re-divide the holy city of Jerusalem today by accusing Israel of engaging in “ethnic cleansing” of Arabs from the eastern portion of the city via its demolition of illegally constructed houses.

This comes in the wake of U.S. Secretary of State Clinton’s comments on this matter last month, which newly elected Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, effectively refuted.
