It’s Chanukah at the Bush’s

For the first time in memory, the “hot ticket” that is The White House Chanukah Party makes the Washington Post’s beltway “gossip” page

White House liaison to the Jewish community Jeremy Katz, and his able aide Scott Arogeti, deserve lots of sympathy for what the post correctly characterizes as the “headache” of coordinating this event. How many people from the Jewish community call The White House trying to wheedle their way onto the guest list? Well, a few years ago, Karl Rove remarked that he knew the invitations to a White House state dinner in honor of Prince Charles of the U.K. was a hot ticket because he had received – almost- as many phone calls from invitation hunters as Rove had annually for Chanukah Party tix.
