In the wake of recent tensions in the U.S-Israel relationship, and as part of “charm offensive” the White House is fielding to reassure the Jewish community, President Obama had lunch today with Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel.

Upon departing the White House, Mr. Wiesel spoke of his belief that the US–Israel relationship is strong enough to weather the current tensions.
