History at the Vatican

Here’s a thought experiment Jews living in 2009 should take a moment to engage in:

Could you imagine what your great-great-grandparents would say if you told them a delegation of Jews would go to see the Pope in the Vatican in the wake of the Pope taking an action which offended the Jewish community, the Jewish community openly complained about, and that the Pope would, essentially, apologize?

Well, that’s what happened earlier this week (with OU president Steve Savitsky being part of the delegation).
