Latest Poll: U.S. Jews Oppose Compromise on Jerusalem

The American Jewish Committee released its always insightful Annual Survey of American Jewish Opinion yesterday. Among its notable findings is this: A clear majority (58%) of American Jews do not believe that “Israel [should be willing] to compromise on the status of Jerusalem as a united city under Israeli jurisdiction”
even “in the framework of a permanent peace with the Palestinians.” Combined with the recent polling of Israelis’ views on this matter, it is abundantly clear that the consensus view among the Jewish People is to retain Jerusalem as our eternal and indivisible capital.
