Obama and the Jews

It has been well documented that Senator and presidential hopeful Barak Obama maintains a large swath of support in a variety of demographics, especially among younger voters, and Oprah fans. What isn’t so well known is that Obama enjoys fairly broad support in the Jewish community as well. JTA notes that Obama’s support amongst Jews goes back to his days in the Illinois statehouse, and that he is on a first name basis with 2 key Jewish lobbyists; Rabbi David Saperstein of the Reform movement, and the IPA’s own Nathan Diament.
