Obama Goes to Faith-Based Charity/School

President-Elect Obama, after completing his Thanksgiving eve press conference, went (along with his wife and daughters) to a Catholic school in Chicago to hand out food to the needy and visit the school’s students.

It is remarkable how this President-Elect continues to strike the right tone at the right time again and again; even conservatives are “gobsmacked.”

Aside from the event itself, we are gratified Mr. Obama had some firsthand experience with a faith-based charity such as this – it is a policy arena he has yet to discuss in his post-election transition, but one we care deeply about and Mr. Obama will have to make some critical decisions upon.

We’re also pleased he spent time with the teachers and students at the parochial school – just a day after we wrote the President-Elect about factoring in such schools and parents into his economic plans.
