Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama engaged in an extensive q&a with The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, in which, among other things, Obama talks about Jewish influences on his life and how he would conduct US policy toward Israel. While there are a range of interesting questions to be asked about Obama’s comments, several attacks have been asserted by the GOP; we think a fair, in context reading of what Obama was trying to say is not what the GOP asserts.
