Ohio’s pension funds have agreed to a voluntary divestment from Iran and the Sudan. Apparently, not one to take bureaucracies at their word, the Speaker of the Ohio House, Jon Husted, is keeping the pressure on. It is reported that he has sent letters to each of Ohio’s public pension funds asking them for an update on their progress. The Speaker has asked each public pension fund to give him a report by the end of 2007 to make sure they are 50% to their goal of divestment.
