The Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish umbrella organization, welcomed remarks delivered today by President Donald J. Trump at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s event marking the National Days of Remembrance.

Orthodox Union President Mark Bane stated:
“We deeply appreciate President Trump’s heartfelt remarks today commemorating the Holocaust and honoring the memory of the six million Jewish people mercilessly killed by the Nazi regime. The president’s pledge to confront anti-Semitism and condemn prejudice and hatred comes at an important time for the Jewish community in the United States and across the world.”
Nathan Diament, the Orthodox Union’s executive director for public policy added:

“Among the many important statements made in this morning’s address, President Trump’s statement that “those who deny the Holocaust are accomplices to this horrible evil. We will never be silent in the face of evil again” is an essential moral commitment by an American president and one that should be deeply appreciated by all people of good will.”
