The Orthodox Union Advocacy Center is pleased to welcome to its team Mimi Jankovits as regional director of its Florida office.

Mimi has more than 25 years of experience in cause advocacy and non-profit marketing and growth. Prior to joining OU Advocacy, she served as executive director of Thank Israeli Soldiers, and regional director of One Family Fund. She also worked for Aish HaTorah Jerusalem as director of marketing and special events.

OU Advocacy works to ensure that Jewish day schools, yeshivas and other non-public schools receive resources from local, state and federal governments to make education more affordable and increase safety for school children. In Florida, OU Advocacy partnered with the Florida Jewish Leadership Coalition to help increase voucher funding for children from $4,000 per student in 2011-12 to $5,677 per student in 2015-16.

“Mimi’s expertise will enable OU Advocacy to take our work in support of Florida’s Jewish day schools to the next level,” said Maury Litwack, director of state political affairs for OU Advocacy. “We are committed to increasing state support for non-public schools in the Sunshine State.”

Mimi has a master’s degree in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
