This week, leadership from the Orthodox Union (OU) and the Rabbinical Council of America (RCA) participated in the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations’ annual mission to Israel. During the mission, they met with key government, political and military leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman, Defense Minister General Moshe “Bogie” Ya’alon, Minister of Justice Tzipi Livni, Diaspora Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett, Minister of Finance Yair Lapid, Leader of the Opposition Yitzhak Herzog, and Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S. Dan Shapiro.
