OU at The White House for Stem Cells

The Orthodox Union, through the representation of IPA director Nathan Diament, was privileged to attend today’s event at The White House at which President Obama signed an executive order allowing federal funds to support embryonic stem cell research.
The President spoke not only about this specific issue, but about the need to ensure the integrity and soundness of any scientific opinions and advice policymakers rely upon.

The issue of stem cell research, and the use of government funds to support it, is one on which the OU has been a leading voice in the public square and we were gratified by President Obama’s move today.
