Questionnaires Regarding Claims Against Swiss Banks Available

Posted on August 2, 1999 In Press Releases

The Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America has received an amount of initial questionnaires for those who may be affected by the settlement arrived at by the Swiss banks and the representatives acting on behalf of Holocaust survivors regarding legal claims relating to the World War II era of conduct of Swiss Banks, Swiss businesses and the Swiss government. This agreement will allow Holocaust survivors and their heirs to receive some degree of financial restitution for the injustice and suffering they endured.

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York will hold a hearing on November 29th, 1999 on whether the settlement should be given final approval.

If you feel that you may be affected by the settlement as an individual, business or group persecuted or targeted for persecution by the Nazi regime and its agents and may have either had assets on deposit with any Swiss banks or have other claims against Swiss entities relating to the Holocaust, you may wish to obtain the questionnaire and learn if you are eligible to be part of the settlement claims.

Kindly call 212-613-8123 or e-mail ehrenber@ou.org in order to obtain the questionnaire. In order to receive more information, please call 1-888-635-5483 or download the documents from https://www.swissbankclaims.com/ on the internet.
