Re: Relief Efforts in Turkey — Update

Reports about the devastating earthquake in Turkey continue to relay information about the mounting death toll and terrible suffering. The Israeli government continues to send aid to Turkey including rescue personnel, medical personnel, medical equipment, medicines, tents, baby food, water and more.

The Orthodox Union is cooperating in the relief efforts of the American Joint Distribution Committee which has convened the Jewish Coalition for Turkey Relief.

To assist in this humanitarian effort, we ask our synagogues to contact Marcia Presky at (212)-885-0832, at the American Joint Distribution Committee.

Checks in support of this effort may be made to JDC — Turkey Earthquake Relief and sent to:

711 Third Avenue
10th Floor
New York, NY 10017

We thank all our member synagogues in advance for their cooperation in this important humanitarian relief effort.
