Today, IPA Deputy Director Howie Beigelman was at the North American Jewish Day School Conference in Teaneck, NJ to join in a panel discussion on government funds, legislative advocacy and political activism for day school leaders.

On the panel with him were Mary Ellen Hrutka, of the MidAtlantic Catholic Schools Consortium and Rabbi Marty Schloss of the BJE of Greater NY. Between us, we reviewed for schools from across the USA what government funds are available (Howie even learned a few things), how to advocate – including partnerships with others – and what successful advocacy could mean.
