Students lobby for New York education tax credit

Backers of an education tax credit for New York are getting help from private high school students from New York City.

Thirty Brooklyn high school juniors from Nazareth High School and the Yeshivah of Flatbush will help with lobbying at the state Capitol on Thursday.

Credits like the one proposed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo in his budget provide tax incentives to contributors to scholarship funds for private schools.
