Ask for Passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Package, Which Includes the Nonprofit Energy Efficiency Act
The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote this week on the bipartisan infrastructure package, which includes the Nonprofit Energy Efficiency Act the OU Advocacy Center spearheaded to help our schools, shuls and an array of other nonprofits nationwide. The $50 million pilot program will provide individual grants of up to $200,000 apiece to upgrade existing building infrastructure, such as purchasing renewable energy generators, heaters and other items. Our shuls and schools spend a considerable share of their budget to repair outdated infrastructure, which detracts from providing fundamental programs and services to the community.
