With budget negotiations underway in Harrisburg, I ask that you consider the safety of all of Pennsylvania's students. I am eager to inform you about one specific legislative initiative in the General Assembly, currently in the Senate, SB521.  SB521 would help keep ALL students safe by offering access to competitive grants for safety measures like security personal, equipment and training.

As a Jewish Pennsylvanian, I watch the rise in anti-Semitism, coupled with increased school violence, and now, even more violence targeting religious minorities. For these reasons, it is imperative that students in ALL schools, including those at Jewish day schools.

I ask that you support initiatives to protect ALL students in PA, including those at Jewish and nonpublic schools. I hope we can create a safer Pennsylvania, where students can learn and thrive, with the investment of government to keep them safe in troubling times.
