As our schools adjust to the demands of COVID-19, I am asking you to sign on as a cosponsor to Sen. Andy Dinniman's proposed bill that calls for a nurse to be placed in every nonpublic school this year and to contact your leadership to bring the legislation up for a vote prior to November 30th.
I also respectfully ask you to support adding provisions to ensure small nonpublic schools have access to school nurse services during COVID-19.
The bill would have no fiscal impact on districts because it calls for CARES Act funding to pay for the nursing services. Pandemics don't discriminate, and the greater community will be safer with health services available to all.
Please help us obtain the necessary care for our students and to make sure no school is the weak link in stemming the spread of the virus.
