Our mission is to bring financial relief to New York State’s private school families and expand educational opportunity for all students.

To achieve this goal, the Orthodox Union’s New York Advocacy Office has merged with TEACH NYS to create the OU/TEACH NYS Initiative. We are now partnering with New York’s Jewish schools to advocate for tuition affordability policies. The OU/TEACH NYS Initiative is based at the OU National Headquarters, and functions in coordination with broader OU political initiatives.

Together, the Orthodox Union and TEACH NYS comprise a powerful force in the New York legislature advocating on behalf of day school and yeshiva parents.

Our Team

Jeff Leb spearheads the campaign as Political Director of the OU/TEACH-NYS Initiative. Jeff is recognized as one of the premier Jewish political strategists in New York State. Over the course of his career, Jeff has been involved in dozens of political campaigns.
