President Obama recently appointed Hannah Rosenthal to be Special Envoy to Combat Anti-Semitism in his Administration’s State Department.
Not surprisingly, this has set off a bit of a debate, with The Jewish Press criticizing her appointment, the New York Jewish Week praising her appointment and Jeffrey Goldberg asking her some pointed questions.

We will withhold judgment until we see Ms. Rosenthal does in her new post, but the debate ensures that many will be watching.
