The horrific events that unfolded last week in the island country of Haiti, have prompted people across the world to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for the relief efforts that are now underway.

With some estimating over 200,000 lives lost and well over three million others affected, the global community looks to help in any way it can – and the OU is doing its small part.

Having seen its share of national crises, Israel is using its expertise to treat thousands of Haitians injured in last week’s quake.
The State of Israel recently established an Israel Defense Force’s emergency medical facility in Haiti’s capitol city and is reported
to be “far and away the most capable and state-of-the-art” emergency center working in the country at the present moment.
