These are busy and interesting days with regard to Israel related issues.
Secretary of State Clinton is at a conference announcing U.S. aid for the reconstruction of Gaza stating her determination to pursue Israeli-Palestinian peace but also saying that the Obama Administration has no illusions that Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons will be stopped by diplomacy; while at the same time, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff says the Iranians now have all they need to make the nukes.
Meanwhile, Martin Indyk, continues to hawk his new book and advice for understanding Obama foreign policy while now adding a call for an end to Israeli settlement expansion as JCPA brings J Street “into the tent” of the organized Jewish community.
