Last night, President and Mrs. Bush hosted their final Chanukah reception at The White House. As previously noted, the occasion was marked by a lighting of the Menorah given by David Ben Gurion to Harry Truman.

The ceremony was inspiring and the party festive – with many notables in attendance.

Guests from the OU’s community included: OU president Steve Savitsky and his wife Genie, incoming executive vice president Rabbi Steven Weil and his wife Yael; Rabbi & Mrs. J.J. Schacter; Rabbi & Mrs. Ari Sytner; Rabbi & Mrs. Aaron Goldscheider; Mr. & Mrs. Morry Levovitz; Mr. Tzvi Friedman; Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Stechler; IPA director Nathan Diament and his daughter Amalia.
