Yediot reports on Prime Minister Olmert’s visit to Ashkelon and Mr. Olmert’s remarkable statement that Israel has “no way” of preventing the rocket attacks from recurring. The report goes on to relate what an Israeli fourth grader suggested to the Prime Minister as he visited his school: “…we should have some sort of button, so every time a Qassam is fired, it will fire back at them…”
This is something previously suggested by noted columnist Charles Krauthammer, first in a presentation to the leadership of the Orthodox Union prior to Israel’s 2005 withdrawal from Gaza, and then in a column.
