New York City mayoral candidate Bill Thompson meets with Jewish community, synagogue and day school lay leaders to discuss his plans for the city as mayor and address issues of concern to the Jewish community.

Addressing a crowd of Jewish community, synagogue and day school lay leaders who convened at the Orthodox Union (OU) on Tuesday for its series of forums with the New York City mayoral candidates, former NYC Comptroller and mayoral candidate Bill Thompson discussed his plans for the city.

During the OU Advocacy-Teach NYS-sponsored forum, Thompson spoke candidly about issues of importance to the Jewish community, including education, security for private schools, obstacles facing families with special needs children, support for small business, combatting crime and affordable housing.
