In its third week, OU Advocacy-NY and its coalition partners hosted three more Schools in Session events throughout New York State. The programs included a brief tour of the school facility combined with an intimate meeting to discuss relevant matters to both the school community and the legislators. Schools in Session provides a unique opportunity for school parents, board members and staff members to meet and engage with their local Senators and Assembly members. Solomon Schechter of Long Island hosted Senator John Flanagan at its lower school and Assemblyman Edward Ra at its upper school, and Westchester Day School welcomed Senator George Latimer.
