School Choice in Canada, Eh?

In line with the OU’s continued push for education tax credits which have taken off in many states which include (but is not limited to) states like Arizona, Pennsylvania and Florida – it was very heartening to see this article from the Canadian Jewish News reporting that education funding is rising as a major campaign issue for the 2007 Ontario election to be held on October 11th. This past June Conservative Party leader John Tory announced that he would run on a platform of “inclusiveness” for faith based day schools and addresses the problems of the current system. Under the current system the Ontario education system funds Roman Catholic Schools but not other faith-based schools. Read the article here.
