As the June budget deadline approaches, I ask you to support SB 714, the new bipartisan STEM Education Partnership Program introduced by Senator Ryan Aument.

With this proposed program, public school teachers have an opportunity for additional compensation, doing what they do best: teaching important STEM subjects to the next generation of Pennsylvanians. Nonpublic schools can partner with public school teachers to teach courses. A similar partnership program is administered by the New Jersey Department of Education, and has proven very successful in our neighboring state for three years now.

This bill addresses a statewide teacher shortage and the program would provide greater access to STEM education, which is critical for Pennsylvania's future workforce. See more here.
