With the state budget nearing completion, I respectfully ask you to remember two issues related to Pennsylvania students: EITC and School Safety. These issues are deeply important to me and my family, and I am grateful for an opportunity to relay this to my elected officials.

The EITC program is a lifeline for tens of thousands of students across Pennsylvania. I am proud to live in a state that affords such opportunities for success to our students and incentive for businesses and individuals to contribute to local education. Low and middle income students need a strong EITC program, and I respectfully ask for your support of a stronger program.

Secondly, I have seen the rise in anti-Semitism, coupled with increased school violence, and now, even more violence targeting religious minorities. For these reasons, it is imperative that students in ALL schools are safe at school. As a supporter of Jewish day schools, I am deeply concerned, daily, for the safety of children and teachers at our schools. Please support the initiative to provide safety measures for nonpublic schools. It matters now, more than ever.
